Pike named Columbia Middle School principal

Joel Martin has been with the Columbia Basin Herald for more than 25 years in a variety of roles and is the most-tenured employee in the building. Martin is a married father of eight and enjoys spending time with his children and his wife, Christina. MOSES LAKE — Ryan Pike will take the reins at Columbia Middle School next year, according to an announcement from the Moses Lake School District.
Pike is returning to Moses Lake in the 2024-25 school year after three years with the Anacortes School District followed by another three years with the Stanwood-Camano School District, according to those districts’ social media. He was previously the principal at Endeavor Middle School and Lakeview Terrace Elementary School in Moses Lake.
Pike, who has been teaching since 2002, graduated from Lynnwood High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Northwest Nazarene University, according to the MLSD announcement. He also earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Western Washington University.
Pike enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, the MLSD wrote. Beyond spending time with his family, he enjoys boating, camping and woodworking. He is excited to relocate to Moses Lake and become involved with the community once again.
