PREP ROUNDUP: Kellogg boys, Genesis Prep's Lehman wins at 2A District 1-2 tourney

WORLEY — Genesis Prep senior Chiara Lehman shot a 95 to earn girls medalist honors in the 2A District 1-2 tournament at Circling Raven Golf Club on Tuesday.

Priest River’s Palmer Coleman shot a 3-over-par 75 to win boys medalist honors.

Kellogg’s boys edged Genesis Prep by one stroke for the eight-team district title. The Wildcats will be joined at state by St. Maries, which finished third.

Priest River won the girls team title with a 459, six strokes ahead of Lapwai. St. Maries also advances by finishing third.

The state 2A tournament is next Monday and Tuesday at Circling Raven Golf Club in Worley.

SANDPOINT — The visiting Vikings swept in boys singles, boys doubles and girls doubles to beat the Bulldogs in the regular season finale for both at Travers Park.

"It was a great win for us against a really good Sandpoint team," Coeur d'Alene boys coach Corey DeLeonard said. "Some of the matches were really close today, so it could have gone either way with the overall team score. I'm so proud of the kids and the way they have supported each other throughout the season."

Coeur d’Alene competes in the 5A Region 1 tournament on Thursday and Saturday at Lewiston High.

Sandpoint competes in the 4A Region 1 tournament in Moscow on Friday and Saturday.

Carson Atkinson had two goals and two assists for Coeur d’Alene (5-3), which hosts tonight.

Meech Melnick scored two goals for Immaculate Conception of Post Falls.
