RATHDRUM — Sandpoint eighth-grader Pax Longanecker broke the school record and won the boys’ 400 and eighth-grader Liese Reimann won the girls’ high jump to lead the Bullpups at a recent Middle School Track & Field Districts meet held at Lakeland High.

Sandpoint’s Kaiden Alward won the boys’ sixth-seventh grade shot put with a throw of 30 feet and 7 ½ inches. Landon Conner was second in the 400 and third in the discus, Luke Brewer second in the high jump, for the Bullpups.

In the sixth-seventh girls’ division, Paloma Parr-Coffin won the 800 in 2:38.8 and placed second in the 3200. Novea Becker was second in the 100 hurdles, Liesl Heuser third in the 200.

Overall, the Bullpup eighth grade girls won the district championship with 74.5 points. Ruthie Laughridge won the 400 in 1:05.3 and placed second in the 800. Also finishing amongst the top were Temperance Bryan (second in long jump) and Delaney Barron (third in 1600).
