Woman dies in crash on U.S. 95

A Pullman, Wash., resident died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 95 in Benewah County Tuesday morning.
According to the Idaho State Police, a 45-year-old woman driving a 2019 Ford Escape was involved in a head-on collision near milepost 379 about 11:30 a.m. with a 2020 Volvo tractor trailer driven by a 31-year-old man from Toledo, Ohio.
The woman was critically injured and died at the scene, ISP said. The man sustained critical injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a hospital.
Traffic on U.S. 95 was blocked in both directions for about four hours.
An investigation continues.
