Bonner County residents have just over a month left to pay the second half of their 2023 property taxes, said county Treasurer Clorrisa Koster.

“Please note per Idaho Code that if the second half payment is late, interest is retroactive back to Jan. 1 of this year,” Koster said. “If you are unable to pay the full amount due, any amount that you can pay prior to June 20 will help reduce the amount of interest charges.”

Payments can be made in a number of ways. Bills can be brought into the Bonner County Treasurer’s Office, located inside the Bonner County Administration Building at 1500 Highway 2, Suite 304, in Sandpoint and be paid by credit or debit card, or by electronic check. A payment drop box is also available for residents right outside the building’s doors. This box is monitored by video surveillance around the clock for protection. Koster said the drop box is for check payments only and residents’ payment coupons must be included with their payment.

“If you do not have your coupon(s), please reference the parcel number(s) on your check,” Koster said. “Payments that are being mailed must be postmarked by June 20 to avoid additional fees.”

Payments can also be made online.

The Treasurer’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exemption of June 19. All Bonner County offices will be closed on that date in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
