BGH AUXILIARY SPRING MEETING

At the BGH Auxiliary’s spring general meeting, Mrs. James [Evelyn] Breinich was awarded the first 500-hour pin ever earned in the group. Mrs. Don [Susan] Diehl, outgoing president, presented the pin. New officers were installed: Mrs. Jack Boothe, president; Mrs. E.F. [Evalyn] McIntire, vice; Mrs. W.L. Langstrom, secretary; and Mrs. R.I. Maple, treasurer.  A complete surprise to Mrs. Diehl was the rising vote of appreciation by members for 18 months of dedication to the Auxiliary in its “growing pains,” when it grew from a nucleus of under 10 to 80 trained and placed volunteers. Mrs. Diehl also supervised a complete reorganization of the Auxiliary, staffing, and establishing the Gift Shop.
