Grant County physician surrenders license

OLYMPIA — The Washington Medical Commission has accepted the permanent surrender of the license to practice medicine of Grant County oral surgeon Thomas J. Laney, according to an announcement from the WMC. 

The statement said Laney is alleged to have practiced “below standard of care” in his treatment of a patient who experienced complications during a dental extraction procedure. Through this license surrender, Laney is not eligible to renew or reactivate his license, the announcement said.
