Community Colleges of Spokane track and field

Bohl, a freshman from Post Falls High, won the 1,500-meter run, as well as the 800 at the Northwest Athletic Conference Championships on Tuesday at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore. Bohl finished the 1,500 in 4 minutes, 44.99 seconds, then won the 800 in 2:20.53, helping the Sasquatch claim their first conference title since 2018.


• ACADEMIC AWARDS

A total of 27 track and field athletes from Lewis-Clark State were named to the Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete list, the conference announced. To be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have attending one full year at their institution. Among locals honored were Carter Gordon (jr., Lake City High), Abigail Peightal (sr., Timberlake) and Brooklyn Shell (sr., Coeur d'Alene).
