No injuries in Wheeler Road fire

Multiple Moses Lake Fire Department vehicles responded to a fire at an industrial building Tuesday. Nobody was injured in the fire and a shelter-in-place order was issued only as a precaution.

MOSES LAKE — No injuries were reported in a fire at an industrial facility on Wheeler Road in Moses Lake on Monday afternoon.
Heather Kok of the Moses Lake Fire Department said the fire was reported at 3:58 p.m. at the Two Rivers Terminal, 13583 Wheeler Road NE. As a precaution the Moses Lake Fire Department issued a shelter-in-place order for people living in the vicinity, she said.
The fire was extinguished by about 4:45 p.m.
“We had the entire crew on scene,” she said.
The response included 13 firefighters, three chief officers, a ladder truck, a structure engine and two medic units. The EMS units were there for extra manpower, she said.
The fire was caused by work going on in the building, she said.

Road projects on hold for Labor Day weekend
MOSES LAKE — With Labor Day weekend dead ahead, drivers will be able to move freely about the state. Most road projects are on hold for the holiday weekend.
