COEUR d’ALENE — Record voter turnout is expected in Idaho today.
In Kootenai County, 34,307 voters had cast ballots in person as of 3 p.m.
Polls are open until 8 p.m. Idaho offers same-day voter registration at the polls. To register to vote at the polls, bring a current photo ID and proof of residence.

Man gets probation after rider for attempted strangulation
A man who was convicted of choking his former girlfriend received a sentence of 15 years of probation after completing a prison treatment program, according to the Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
