Carr, a sophomore, finished sixth in the state 6A boys cross country race on Saturday at Eagle Island State Park, helping the Vikings to a second straight team title. Carr, who was 24th as a freshman, finished in 15 minutes, 24.86 seconds. “His strategy was to hang on the back front pack with Max (Cervi-Skinner) and Zack (Cervi-Skinner) and trust his fitness would carry him through,” Coeur d’Alene coach Emry Carr said. “He’s grown tremendously over last track season and this cross country season in believing in his ability to compete at a very high level.”
