Judge Molly Owen set sentencing for Dec. 18 for a St. Ignatius woman who admitted to stealing a vehicle in Missoula. Isabelle Louise Pablo, 26, entered a plea of guilty in District Court in Polson Oct. 30 to felony theft.

The plea was entered as part of an agreement that could dismiss an unrelated drug possession charge for allegedly possessing fentanyl on Feb. 16, 2022.

According to court records, on July 12, Pablo “purloined” a 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD LTZ pick-up from the Town Pump convenience store at the Wye in Missoula and drove northbound on U. S. Highway 93. Law enforcement in Lake County located the pick-up in the St. Ignatius area, but the driver refused to stop.

The pick-up was equipped with the OnStar feature, which was used to disable it remotely near mile marker 33. The pick-up is valued at about $52,000.
