Morgan Delaney was once again tops in the state

A week after winning the State A title in cross country, Polson’s Morgan Delaney also won the junior women’s race at the 2024 Montana Cup at Zinn Ranch in Helena, posting a time of 20:42.8. She was followed by her sister, Quinn Delaney, who ran a 21:03.1.

Koko Scott placed fifth for Polson in the race (22:08.6).

In the boys’ race, Polson’s David DiGiallonardo was third (18:13.8), and Ronan’s Jacob Piapot was sixth (18:49.4).

Morgan Delaney’s time was fifth-best for all women in the race, while Quinn’s was ninth best. Koko Scott’s was 22nd best for the state. Malia Seeley was 74th (26:11.1) and Tana Seeley was 88th (27:38.6).

In the men’s race, Ebenezer Delaney was 23rd (18:22.9), Paden Alexander was 26th (18:38.7), Jacob Piapot’s time was 31st best, and Matt Seeley placed 46th (19:25.3).
