The Whitefish Christian Academy’s girls volleyball team won first place in the Flathead Valley Rural League at a recent tournament held in Deer Park. The championship tournament was in the fifth and sixth grade age division.
The Flathead Valley Rural League is comprised of approximately 14 small, rural valley schools and includes teams from Cayuse Prairie, St. Matthew's, Kila, Fair-Mont-Egan, Swan River and Stillwater.

With 17 years of volleyball experience, Kayla Bond, Whitefish Christian Academy coach, has helped build the volleyball program for the last several years.

Before this year, Whitefish Christian Academy had never won a volleyball playoff. This feat marks the best-ever season for the Lady Lions, who have been improving year after year.

"It’s such a valuable opportunity for me to make a positive difference in the lives of each of our student-athletes,” said Bond. “Seeing both their individual growth and their collective growth as a team has been extremely rewarding.”
