COEUR d’ALENE — A man accused of repeatedly violating a no-contact order is being held on $500,000 bail. 

Timothy E. McPherson, 51, of Coeur d’Alene, is charged with first-degree stalking, a felony, and malicious injury to property, a misdemeanor. 

The charges stem from early Friday morning, when Coeur d’Alene police responded to a report that McPherson allegedly broke down a door at the home of his ex, while a no-contact order was in place. 

McPherson’s ex told police he came to her home around 1 a.m. asking to collect some of his belongings, which she agreed to give him. She said she also agreed to let him stay in an outbuilding on the property because she was afraid he would become violent if she refused, according to court records. 

Later, the woman said, McPherson forced open the door to her home and entered the residence. He left the scene when she called 911, she said. When police arrived, officers observed the damaged door, according to court records. 

While the woman was speaking with police, McPherson called her and sent her messages, according to court records. 

Police later arrested McPherson and transported him to jail. 

In April, McPherson was charged with domestic battery with traumatic injury, a felony. He posted $10,000 bail and later pleaded not guilty to the charge.  

McPherson was arrested in July and charged with violating a no-contact order, a misdemeanor. He posted $5,000 bail. In late October, he was arrested and charged with the same offense, this time posting $15,000 bail mere hours before he allegedly kicked down his ex’s door. 

Jail records indicate that McPherson is being held on $500,000 bail.
