Karen Fritz, 78, of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away on Nov. 5, 2024. She was born in Wolf Point to Agnes and Lawrence Jackson on May 27, 1946. Throughout her childhood, Karen moved frequently due to her father’s employment but later settled in Kalispell, where she spent much of her early adult life.
Karen was a devoted mother to her son Scott and grandmother to Alysha and Ryan, taking great pride in her family. She spent countless hours traveling and cheering on her son and grandchildren in all their sporting activities.
In her professional life, Karen started as a front desk secretary at Conrad Bank and retired as a compliance officer at Wells Fargo Bank. Throughout her employment, she was known for her quick wit and sense of humor, which she maintained until the very end.
Karen had a love for the game of golf and found joy in spending time with her friends of 60 years, Carrie and Dick Taylor. A special highlight for Karen was when her beloved New York Yankees made it to the World Series. She will be remembered for her kind heart, sharp humor, and the lasting impact she made on those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Lawrence Jackson; her brother, Allen Jackson; her sister, Shirley Jackson Rolandson; and her grandson, Tyler Fritz.
She is survived by her son, Scott (Jamie); grandchildren, Alysha (Tucker) Davis and Ryan; her brother-in-law, Ole Rolandson, and sister-in-law, Irene Jackson. She also leaves behind her favorite nieces, Laurie Rodriguez and Lynn Harrington, her friend and loyal dog, Yankee, along with numerous friends and family.
Private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Tunnels to Towers.
