Glen Brist, 77, died on Nov. 6, in an accident on his farm near Kila. He was born on Dec. 17, 1946, in Kalispell to Freeman and Blanche Brist. He responded to the love of God in his heart when he was 11, which then led to a lifetime of a growing faith.

After graduating from Flathead High School in 1965, he was drafted into the US Army and served his country for two years. After his military service, he spent four years in the ministry. He married Tanya Osksa on April 8, 1977, and settled on Lone Lake Farm where they have been ever since. He drove chip truck for Solberg Trucking, followed by delivery truck for Meadow Gold, all the while working the family farm. He became a traumatic brain injury survivor in 2007, which led to his retirement from trucking and transition into full time farming.

He loved to share the farm and animals with local as well as international families. He loved to see his kids and then grandkids not only raise animals on the farm but grow faith in their hearts.

He is survived by his wife, Tanya; children, Rob (Tess) Brist and Laura Brist; and greatly beloved grandchildren, Madison, Emma, Naomi and Garrett Brist; siblings Lyle (Mary) Brist, Joyce Wright, Julia Brist, Jeanne (Cedric) Coolahan; and many friends and relatives.

A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. on Nov. 23, at the Flathead County Fairgrounds Trade Center. All are welcome, and the family would like you to stay for a lunch that will be provided. Friends are encouraged to visit the website at www.buffalohillfh.com to leave notes of condolences for the family. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
