NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER FOR SALE KOOTENAI NATIONAL FOREST The Beary Road Fire Salvage Sale is located within Portions of Sections 13, 24, T32N, R26W and Portions of Sections 18, 19, 20, T32N, R25W, Flathead County, State of Montana, PMM. The Forest Service will receive Sealed bids at Supervisor’s Office, Libby MT before or at the time of public bid opening at 10:00 AM local time on 11/26/2024 for an estimated volume of 19028 ton of Douglas-fir and Other sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, there is within the sale area an unestimated volume of Subalpine Fir and Other sawtimber, and Combined Softwood non-saw that the bidder may agree to remove at a fixed rate. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below. SECTION 00100 INVITATION TO BID Separate sealed bids for construction of Libby 2024 Spruce Street Reconstruction project will be received by the City of Libby City Administrator, 952 East Spruce Street, Libby, Montana, 59923, until 11:00 AM MST local time November 27th, 2024, and then publicly opened and read aloud. The project consists of the reconstruction of a portion of Spruce Street starting at the east curb return on the intersection with Minnesota Avenue which in general consists of the following: removal of exiting street section and replacement of the asphalt pavement section, curbs, and sidewalk. The contract documents consisting of Drawings and Project Manual can be obtained at the office of TD&H Engineering, 450 Corporate Drive, Suite #101, Kalispell, Montana, 59901, in accordance with Article 2.01 of Instructions to Bidders. The required deposit is $ 75.00 per set, which is not refundable. The Bid Submittal must include the purchased Project Manual in its entirety. The contract documents consisting of Drawings and Project Manual in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders, may be examined or viewed at the Flathead Valley Plans Exchange located at 2303 Hwy 2 East, Kalispell, MT. CONTRACTORS and any of the CONTRACTORS’ subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. CONTRACTOR is not required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project but must have registered prior to execution of the Construction Agreement. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Montana Prevailing Wages apply to this contract. The CONTRACTOR(s) and all subcontractors shall pay employees involved in the performance of the construction work according to the Laws of the State of Montana in accordance with the schedule of Montana Prevailing Wage Rates established by the Montana Department of Labor and Industry included in the Project Manual. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to City of Libby, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of the Bids specified above. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the OWNER. The project is funded in part with grant funding from the State-Local Infrastructure Partnership (SLIPA) Program. Award of the project will be contingent upon receiving funding and award concurrence from this program. The Contractor is required to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
