Larry Fabian

Larry Bruce Fabian, 92, was born in Ottawa, Kan., to Guy and Lillian Fabian. The family moved to Silver Peak, Nev., Trona, Calif., and finally landed in Palmdale, Calif., where Larry graduated from Antelope Valley High School.
Larry served the nation with the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Wichita, Kan., during the Korean War. He later moved back to the Antelope Valley where he worked for aerospace manufacturer, North American Aviation.
It was through family friends whom he met his future wife, Evelyn Mae Smith. They were married in 1958. Their sons, Gregory and Todd, joined the family while living in Palmdale.
Larry and the family moved to the Columbia Basin in 1965.
Larry farmed with his brother-in-law and father-in-law in block 71. Larry served as an Elder with the Ephrata Church of Christ for more than 40 years where the entire family of Fabians and Smiths worshiped together. He also served with the Quincy Volunteer Fire Department for 32 years.
Larry and Evelyn retired from farming and moved to Ephrata, Washington. After years in Ephrata, Larry and Evelyn moved to East Wenatchee where they both lived out the remainder of their lives.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Lillian, brother Norman and wife Evelyn.
He was survived by his two sons, Todd (Pascale) of East Wenatchee and Gregory (Linda) of Boiling Springs, S.C. Grandchildren Kylee, Jennifer, Matthew and Haley. Great-grandkids Ivan, Seager and Hannah as well.
There will be a graveside service at the Ephrata cemetery Nov. 15, 2024, at 1 p.m.
