Kristen Lynn Vedder

Kristen Lynn Vedder unexpectedly passed away due to complications from an ongoing battle with cancer Nov. 6, 2024, at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, Wash. She was only 53 years old. Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden death. Kristen was born Aug. 22, 1971.
Kristen is survived by her parents, Timothy A. Vedder II and Debora K. Vedder, and forever remembered by her siblings, Tim Vedder III and his wife, Shari Vedder, Matt Vedder and his wife, DeAnn Vedder, Cindy Hawk and her husband, Martin Hawk, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kristen was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tim and Bette Vedder of Chewelah, as well as John and Beverly Murphy of Spokane.
Kristen was born at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Wash. She grew up in Chewelah, Wash., and graduated from Jenkins High School in 1990, where she enjoyed playing volleyball and golf. In 1995, she graduated from Washington State University School of Pharmacy. After graduating from WSU, she worked for Akers United Drug in Chewelah until 2000. She then worked for Wenatchee Valley Medical Center/Confluence Health.
Kristen was a fun and witty woman who took on many passions, which included snow skiing, WSU and Seahawk football, travel and caring for her friends as well as her animals. She loved doing watercolor painting, traveling to far away places and she was an adventurous cook.
Kristen was a beautiful person inside and out. She cared deeply for the people around her. She was always kind, passionate and genuinely fun to be around with many great stories. Kristen loved to laugh and made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed by her family, friends and co-workers.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated in Chewelah, Wash., with a Memorial Mass to be scheduled soon at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Moses Lake, Wash. Online memorial page can be found at https://holycrossofspokane.org.
