Don “K” Subaru recently donated $4,000 to the Humane Society of Northwest Montana.

The Humane Society was named the 2024 Subaru Loves Pets Hometown Charity by the team at Don “K” Whitefish. The funds along with a number of cat and dog adoption kits will be used to help the society to place rescued pets into their “fur-ever” homes.

“We are most grateful for the support of community-minded companies like Don “K” Subaru and the Subaru Loves Pets program,” said Stacie DaBolt, executive director of the Humane Society. “These precious funds will be put to work supporting the pets that we rescue from so many difficult and even abusive conditions and helping them to find safe, loving homes. We could not do this work without the caring involvement of companies like Don “K” Whitefish.”

Kevin Kaltschmidt, general manager of Don “K” Subaru, said the business is always looking for ways to help in the Flathead Valley.

“Working with the Humane Society of Northwest Montana is such a worthy cause,” he said. “Their efforts make a tremendous difference in the lives of pets and the families that adopt them. This is why the Subaru Loves Pets program exists and why we at Don “K” Subaru look forward to participating every year.”

The Subaru Loves Pets program is an annual effort supported by Subaru dealers and dealer-chosen hometown charities across the nation designed to encourage the adoption of rescued dogs and cats and support the dedicated organizations like the Humane Society of Northwest Montana.
