Flathead Electric Co-op schedules power outage for Nov. 21

Flathead Electric Cooperative and Bonneville Power Administration officials have scheduled a planned power outage in the canyon for Nov. 21.

The outage will allow crews to work on improving, maintaining and repairing transmission and distribution electric systems, officials said. It is expected to affect customers between Hungry Horse and Essex. 

The outage is expected to begin at midnight. Officials hope to have power restored by 4 a.m.

About 2,900 Flathead Electric Cooperative members will lose power during the outage. The co-op will attempt to contact members affected by the planned outage by placing automated calls and/or sending text messages to those members.

During the outages, impacted members outage can stay up to date by visiting the co-op’s Outage Center at flatheadelectric.com/outage.
