Myrna Bevacqua, 85

Passed away in her sleep at Kootenai Memorial Hospital on Oct. 27, 2024, at 5:05 a.m.

Myrna Lou Leicht was born May 3, 1939, in Ronan, Mont. She grew up in Hamilton, Mont., with her father, Albert, mother Bertha, sister Karen and brother Wayne. Myrna attended Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Wash. She met her husband, Tony Bevacqua, in Vallejo, Calif. They were married Nov. 4, 1961, in New Jersey. They lived in New Jersey until 1970, when they moved to Whittier, Calif.

Myrna worked as a school assistant in California and Idaho. She was very active in PTA and the local youth sports her children participated in.

She joins her husband, Tony; her son, Tony; and grandson Barrett.

She is survived by her daughter, Beth Whitney, Greely, Colo. Her son, Matt Bevacqua, and his wife, Haley, Peoria, Ariz. Her son, Al Bevacqua, and his wife, Colleen, Rathdrum, Idaho. And her daughter-in-law, Tami, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Her grandchildren are Michael, Neal, Mitchell, Brooklyn, Nate and Josh. Great-grandkids Nate and Alex. Cousin Wendie Brandenburg, sisters-in-law Marie Bevacqua, Marie Grosso and Rosemary Mazzeo. Nephews Jared Janke, Jeff Bevacqua, Kevin Bevacqua and Vincent Mazzeo. Nieces Jennifer Bevacqua, Lisa Aldorasi, Judy Zocchi, Nikkian Molnar, Jessica Travena and Janel Gardner.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Bell Tower Funeral Home, 3398 E. Jenalan Ave., Post Falls, ID 83854.
