A new campaign this holiday season is looking to get shoppers into Evergreen businesses.
The Evergreen Chamber of Commerce is hosting, with the help of participating chamber members, the 12 Days of Evergreen Christmas. The program encourages folks to stop into businesses and earn a chance to win during 12 days of drawings in December.
“The reason is that we want to drive people to go to Evergreen,” said Annie Lupton, with Snappy’s, who is spearheading the program for the chamber. “We’ve been growing and that’s amazing, but Evergreen isn’t always where people think to head when they shop. We have great local businesses here, including retail and service businesses.”
During the 12 Days, participants can stop in at participating Evergreen businesses to get a stamp on a card. Once five spots are filled then the card can be turned in at a business or with the chamber.
The 12 Days of Evergreen Christmas launches during the chamber’s Pie Auction and Light Up Evergreen on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at Glacier Ace Hardware. The event begins at 5 p.m. and cards will be available.
Then on Dec. 12, participants can begin visiting businesses to collect stamps.
“Each business determines what is needed to earn a stamp,” Lupton said. “For some it might be signing up for a newsletter and for another it might mean a $25 purchase.”
Cards can be filled by visiting one business or multiple businesses. And there’s no limit on the number of cards that can be turned in for the drawing.
Then beginning Dec. 13 and running through Dec. 24, cards will be drawn to determine winners. Prizes, which include gift baskets and gift certificates in various amounts, will get progressively bigger throughout the drawings.
