Rep. Dye earns award for ag service

WENATCHEE — Ninth District Representative Mary Dye (R-Pomeroy) received the State Representative Legislator of the Year award from the Washington Farm Bureau at its annual meeting last week in Wenatchee. 

“(The award recognizes) leaders who champion critical agricultural issues and advance policies benefiting farmers and ranchers,” according to a WFB press release. 

Dye is the ranking Republican member on the House Environment and Energy Committee.  

“(Dye) was honored for her advocacy on water and land use issues, amending dredge and fill regulations, and championing agriculture’s role in food security,” the press release said. “Her steadfast support has earned her great respect among Washington farmers.”
