The Thompson Falls Lady Hawks are on a volleyball roll. This past week they won a pair of Western B conference matches to increase their winning streak to three and boost their season record to 5-3.

Friday the Lady Hawks swept Arlee on the road, then returned home Saturday and swept Darby.  Thompson Falls has not lost since their epic, five-set loss to Sanders County rival Plains, which is still unbeaten on the year.

The rematch of that match is set for Oct. 15, in Thompson Falls.

Meanwhile, the Lady Hawks began their week with the win over Arlee, which slipped to 0-10 on the year with the loss.

Against the Scarlets, T Falls controlled the first set on their way to a 25-14 win and a 1-0 match lead.  Things only got worse for Arlee after the opening set, with T Falls jumping out to an early second set lead and took a 2-0 match lead with a 25-8 set two win.

The Lady Hawks secured the sweep in the third set, when they once again got out to an early lead and never looked back en route to a 25-9, sweep clinching win.

In the win over Arlee, Annalise Fairbank had a match-best 31 assists for the Lady Hawks, while Sarah Koskela topped T Falls with 35 kill shots, tying her with teammate Gabi Hannum in that category.

Hannum also had a team-high five blocks, while Olivia Fitchett led the Hawks with six digs.  Addy Deal and Fairbank shared the lead in service aces with five each.

The next day at home versus Darby, the results were mostly the same, albeit a bit more of a challenge than versus Arlee.

The Lady Hawks won the first set against the Lady Tigers, 25-16, then took the second set 25-13.

T Falls secured the sweep with a 25-9 third set win that clinched the match.

Fairbank once again had a solid game with a team-best 20 assists to go with a team topping four digs.

Addi Pardee led T Falls with seven kills, while Addy Deal led the Hawks in service aces with five.  Pardee also had four aces.  Deal was also the team leader in blocked shots with three of the four team blocks.

This week the Lady Hawks host Troy Thursday (Oct 3), then travel to Eureka Saturday where they will face the Lady Lions.  Both matches are conference contests.
