EPHRATA – A worker disassembles the wing on a PBY Catalina that called the Port of Ephrata home for several years. The aircraft, also known as a Consolidated Model 28, was produced in the 1930s and 1940s. This particular aircraft was seen in the movie “Always” starring John Goodman, Richard Dreyfus and Holly Hunter and directed by Steven Spielberg. Disassembly of the aircraft was completed in the last week and the plane is being transported to the Yanks Air Museum in Chino, Calif.
