EPHRATA – A worker disassembles the wing on a PBY Catalina that called the Port of Ephrata home for several years. The aircraft, also known as a Consolidated Model 28, was produced in the 1930s and 1940s. This particular aircraft was seen in the movie “Always” starring John Goodman, Richard Dreyfus and Holly Hunter and directed by Steven Spielberg. Disassembly of the aircraft was completed in the last week and the plane is being transported to the Yanks Air Museum in Chino, Calif.

Moses Lake man convicted of multiple child sex abuse charges
MOSES LAKE — Billy Gene Pinson, 46, of Moses Lake has been sentenced to 35 years in prison after being convicted of multiple crimes associated with sexually abusing minors, according to a press release from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which worked with the Moses Lake Police Department on the case.
