Voting preregistration deadline today
STAFF REPORT | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 5 months, 3 weeks AGO
Today is the last day to preregister to vote ahead of the Nov. 5 general election.
Eligible Idaho voters can register or update their registration online at VoteIdaho.gov or by visiting their county elections office. After today, eligible voters may register in person at polling places during early voting or on Election Day.
The preregistration deadline is particularly important for absentee voters, according to the Idaho Secretary of State’s Office. Requests for absentee ballots are accepted until Oct. 25, so long as registration or changes to registration are completed by today.
“Checking to make sure your voter registration is up to date is the best way to ensure a smooth and easy voting experience at the polls,” Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane said in a news release.
