Robert Lee "Bob" Barker, Jr., 74, passed away on Sept. 14, 2024, at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish after an extended illness.

Bob was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, to the late Robert Barker, Sr. and June Barker. He spent his career with the Milwaukee, Alaska, and BNSF railroads which took him across the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. He was active in his local union serving as a vice-chair, a position that he enjoyed very much. He also devoted his time to coaching his daughters’ softball teams.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara and daughters Heather (Michael) Haynes, Holly Barker and boyfriend Jack Cameron, and Katie (Stephen) Zorn. He was also proud grandpa to Landon and Brooklyn Haynes, and Bindi Zorn. In addition, he is survived by many friends and of course, his feline friend Josie.

A celebration of life is planned for Oct. 19, at Pin N’ Cue in Whitefish at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to remember Bob may do so by donating to the Logan Health Foundation at www.logan.org (with Robert Barker in comment section). Funds will be used to purchase electric blankets for cancer center patients.
