Kowalski honored as month's top chamber volunteer

SANDPOINT — Greater Sandpoint Chamber officials couldn’t think of anyone better to name as October’s top volunteer than Alisha Kowalski.
Kowalski is very active in the Sandpoint community and has spent many hours volunteering her time to help several organizations. Alisha has volunteered at the Sandpoint Community Resource EnVision Center, NAMI Far North, the Ethan Murray Foundation, Festival of Trees, and is an active Chamber Ambassador representing WaFd Bank.
Alisha has been a board member of Bonner Homeless Transitions and has recently stepped into the role of interim president with this organization.
On top of her “day job” with WaFd bank, and all of her volunteer commitments, Kowalski also participating in the Chamber’s annual program: Leadership Sandpoint. When asked about her decision to participate in Leadership Sandpoint, Alisha shared that she looks at it as a way “… to grow a deeper knowledge into the community I love to serve and how best to support this community in a leadership role in the future.”
The Chamber honored Alisha Kowalski as the October Volunteer of the Month at the October Chamber General Membership Luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 10.
