Judith Ann Rayome, 83, passed away at Home Sweet Home in Eureka, Montana, on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, of natural causes. 

She was born on Feb. 11, 1941, in Libby, Montana, to Ralph D. and Violet M. (Becker) Riley. Judy married Ronald R. Rayome on June 19, 1959, in Libby. Judy was a lifelong resident of Libby before moving to Home Sweet Home a few years ago.

Judy owned and operated R & J’s Hallmark store for several years. She loved gardening and had a special love for roses.

Judy had a great sense of humor and loved playing tricks on her family and friends. She was an avid scrabble player, bowler and she enjoyed her Thursday night cards with her best friend, Connie. 

She was involved and volunteered for WINGS for many years.

Camping was a favorite activity for Judy. She dearly loved her grandbabies and made the BEST chocolate chip cookies ever, something they all enjoyed.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband Ron Rayome; parents Ralph and Vi Riley; and sister Sharon Markham. 

Survivors include her children Barb Rayome (Rick Tarbert), Cindy Brothers (Les), Jennie Ward (Russ), Ken Rayome (Peggy), and Teri Rayome-Kelly (Al Kelly); sisters Kathy Kendall, Deb Bakke and Nancy Bloom; brother Ron Riley; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services for Judy will be 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 21, 2024, at the Libby Christian Church, 100 Kootenai River Road.

Following the interment, there will be a reception at the Libby Christian Church. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WINGS.
