OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Commerce announced two new programs Oct. 17 that will connect Washington entities with federal clean energy and climate funding opportunities, according to a release from the WSDC. The two new programs are the Federal Clean Energy Tax Credit Assistance Program and the Federal Funds Grant Writing Assistance Program.

“We are in the midst of a generational opportunity to leverage and secure funding from the federal government to support our efforts to build energy resilience and prepare future generations for the impacts of climate change,” said Commerce Director Mike Fong in the release.

The CETCAP is available to organizations that are eligible for federal clean energy tax incentives through the Inflation Reduction Act. There are free resources available including support from clean energy tax attorneys for various entities. Those interested in the service should contact Lawyers for Good Environment at https://bit.ly/LawyersForGoodEnvionment.

The Federal Funds Grant Writing Assistance program is made for tribes, community-based organizations, local government and other similar organizations to help prepare and submit federal grant applications. The resource is free and available now. The service herpes with proposals writing, design, partnership coordination and other services. Those interested can email  [email protected] for a consultation.

The two new programs follow the launch of FundHub.Wa.Gov, which provides help to those interested in funding clean energy projects.
