MOSES LAKE — Drivers should plan for some lane closures and flagger-controlled traffic this week at intersections in Moses Lake and Quincy. Contractors for the Washington Department of Transportation will be working on traffic lights at intersections in those cities, both during the day and at night.

Workers will be replacing and upgrading traffic signals throughout the week.

Crews will be working on controller boxes and covers at three intersections in Moses Lake and two in Quincy, according to a WSDOT press release. Other work is planned in Chelan, Peshastin and Omak.

Crews will be working on State Route 17 at its intersections with Yonezawa Boulevard, Patton Drive and Interstate 90. They’ll be working during the day, so drivers should plan for shoulder and right-turn lane closures, the press release said.

Repairs also are planned for the intersection of Central Avenue South and State Route 28 in Quincy, and here also drivers should be ready for the shoulder and right turn lane to be closed.

Work on the traffic light at Third Avenue Southeast and SR 28 in Quincy will require shutting down the signal so that work is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday. Drivers should expect lane closures and flagger-controlled traffic at that intersection, the press release said.
