The Daily Inter Lake is bringing readers a series of candidate profiles for local races ahead of the Nov. 5 election. 

Republican Doug Adams is a landscaper for vacation rental property owner in Whitefish running for Senate District 2. He previously ran for House District 5 in 2014, losing to Democrat Rep. Ed Lieser. Adams’ campaign is focused on reducing government spending and halting the outflow of tax money into government programs. He faces Democrat Dave Fern, a longtime legislator, for the seat.
