NIC WOMEN'S GOLF: Cardinals finish sixth in fall finale

BREMERTON, Wash. —  North Idaho College shot a 323 in the second round of the Gail Moore Intercollegiate, finishing sixth out of 10 teams in the Cardinals’ fall season finale on Tuesday at Gold Mountain Golf Club’s Cascade Course. 

Freshman Alyssa Butterfus was the top finisher for NIC, finishing tied for 18th with a 77-80—157.

Bo Brown of tournament host British Columbia shot a 2-under-par 142 and earned medalist honors in a three-way playoff.

“The weather was pretty rainy on the first day,” NIC women’s coach Brittany Pounds said. “For as gross as the weather was the first day the girls took it head on and came out and executed some great scores considering the elements.”
