BONNERS FERRY — Ryan Geiler is the new clinic practice manager at the Boundary Community Clinics.
Geiler, who brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the team, BCC officials announced.
Originally from a small town in Kansas, Geiler grew up on a farm with a large dairy and has always valued the connection to rural life. He is the father of two adult children, his son works in military intelligence in the Army and his daughter will be graduating as a registered nurse in the coming year.
Outside of work, Geiler enjoys hiking and the outdoors; a passion shared by his family, including his chocolate lab, Beau, who is always up for an adventure.
Geiler began his early career in software development, which took him to Boston and across Europe and Asia. His passion for healthcare led him to shift careers, earning his degree as a licensed practical nurse and eventually a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration.
He combined his love for IT and nursing by specializing in Informatics during the early days of the electronic medical records boom. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration and is nearing completion of a second master’s degree in information systems.
His experience includes a significant project converting multiple healthcare facilities to EMR systems, Meditech and NextGen, resulting in improved efficiency and patient outcomes. He has since held various leadership roles, including IT director and senior leadership positions.
Geiler is excited to join the Boundary Community Clinics community and contribute his expertise and knowledge. He is particularly passionate about BCC’s commitment to providing holistic care and improving the overall health and well-being of patients.
The clinic team’s goals for the future include focusing on the quality of patient visits with providers rather than the quantity of visits.
“We believe that fostering and developing meaningful relationships with our patients is a powerful tool in improving patient outcomes and empowering individuals to develop healthy lifestyles,” officials said. “We strive to focus on the holistic care approach; treating the whole person, including their physical, mental, and emotional health.”
To aid with these goals, BCC is taking steps to modernize and streamline the clinic’s communication processes so it may provide accurate, timely and actionable information to the community.
That said, its core values are to ensure patients get the time they need with their provider to help them achieve the healthiest lifestyle possible.
