Polson falls to Hamilton, 45-23

Hamilton used an 18-point second quarter to take control of a Class football battle on Friday, Oct. 25. The Broncs defeated Polson 45-23, ending the Pirates' regular season with a record of 4-4.

The first three touchdowns of the game were scored by Hamilton before Polson’s Holden Emerson scored on a five-yard run to make it 19-7. The Broncs then scored on a 37-yard touchdown pass to go into halftime with a 25-7 lead.

Emerson did hit Cason Graham for a five-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter and Case Cox threw a 33-yard touchdown pass to Eli Evenson in the fourth. Polson finished the game with 38 yards on the ground.

Through the air, Emerson went 13-for-24 for 171 yards, and Cox went 5-for-6 with 50 yards. Graham was the Pirates’ leading receiver with 112 yards on six catches, while Evenson had six grabs for 58 yards, and Cody Haggard caught four balls for 51 yards.

On defense, Jarett Seifert had eight tackles and five assists, and Daniel O’Roake had six tackles and four assists. Cooper Kisler also finished with six tackles.

Columbia Falls Downs Ronan, 45-8

Columbia Falls powered its way to a 45-8 Northwest A Conference victory over Ronan, scoring three rushing touchdowns and another three in the air on Friday, October 25.

Kolby Finley threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Laurance Lozeau in the fourth quarter for the Chiefs’ lone score of the game. Columbia Falls’ led 21-0 and notched two touchdowns in the third quarter to ice the game.

Finley finished the game with 12-for-17 passing for 128 yards, and Lozeau was the top receiver, making four catches for 84 yards.

Ronan finished the regular season with a 4-5 record.
