DESERT AIRE - A logging truck passes by the site of a small wildfire where scorched brush is all that is left west of the Vernita Bridge last week. The fire didn't damage any structures and no one was hurt as a result of the blaze. Fire danger in the Columbia Basin remains elevated and residents are reminded that a burn ban remains in effect.
