BONNERS FERRY — Music fans will be treated to folky tunes by songwriter and singer Brittany Jean at the Pearl Theater’s season opener on Saturday, Sept. 14.

Jean will perform songs from her sixth album “Colors & Covers,” a collection of songs that reflect a handful of the different shades and seasons in this colorful life.

From the 2023 album, the song “Golden Hour” was a finalist for the International Acoustic Music Awards’ Song of the Year, and Brittany was also a finalist for Best Female Artist for 2023. Jean’s style is rooted in the folk and Americana music she has loved all her life, and in one way or another, every song she sings is a love song.

Originally from West Chicago, Illinois, Brittany Jean is a folk singer/songwriter based in the Pacific Northwest, currently living in a little, apple town on the Columbia River.

Jean’s has released six full-length albums and one EP — all recorded in Nashville, Tennessee: “Whispered Stories,” “Leavin’ Home,” “Wander With Me,” “All The Love,” “Wintertide” and “Lightfoot”.

“Lightfoot” was released in summer 2023, and has said the project is her “thank you” to one of her all-time favorite songwriters, Gordon Lightfoot.

The historic Pearl Theater is delighted to welcome back Brittany Jean as its 2024/2025 season opener as part of her 2004 tour.

The Bonners Ferry show starts at 7 p.m., doors open half an hour before. There is a $5 cover charge with kids 12 and under receiving free entry.
