NIC VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals power past Carroll JV

HELENA, Mont. — Sophomore Morgan Claus had 12 kills and 20 digs for North Idaho College in a 25-17, 23-25, 25-17, 25-17 win over the Carroll JV on Friday.

Freshman Jordyn Williams had 11 kills and freshman Nicole Groiss had 10 kills for NIC (3-6).

Freshman Brecklan Weaver had 22 digs for NIC.

“The setters did a great job of getting all attackers involved, which was a testament to our focus on serve receive in practice,” NIC coach Drew Pascua said. “It was the best it’s been all season. We are finding consistency in our lineup, and the group is more comfortable with each other. The girls should be proud of their progress and the product they put on the court tonight.”

The teams meet again today at 9 a.m. PDT.
