The cowgirl, a 16-year-old junior and online student through the Coeur d'Alene School District won the 90th annual Lewiston Roundup amateur barrel race Saturday aboard Tucker. Her time was 17.58 seconds. Last year she was the reserve champion, just .01 seconds behind the winner. The previous weekend, Lauren also qualified in pole bending for the YETI Junior World Finals in Las Vegas on Dec. 9-14.
