COEUR d’ALENE — A local tax relief company is receiving top honors from the International Association of Better Business Bureaus.

Precision Tax Relief, in Coeur d’Alene, has been awarded the International Torch Award for Ethics by the IABBB.

The IABBB gives out several such awards to “recognize businesses in North America that maintain outstanding dedication to upholding ethical business practices and promoting trust in the marketplace,” according to a media release announcing the winning companies.

Though the Precision Tax team was unable to make the trip to Minneapolis to accept the award in-person, Chief Operating Officer Michele Mulkey sung the team’s praises in a pre-recorded acceptance video.

“This award is truly a testament to our team’s dedication to ethical business practices,” said Mulkey. “They walk this out every day with open, honest, transparent communication.”

The company has also won the regional Torch Award for Ethics from the Great West + Pacific Better Business Bureau in 1999, and again in 2023.
