MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Police Department is asking for help in finding a vehicle that might be linked to a drive-by shooting Sept. 8.

The incident occurred about 3 a.m. at the intersection of North Buell Drive and West Gary Street off North Grape Drive, according to a release from the MLPD.

“Upon arrival officers found multiple spent casings and confirmed that both a residence and a vehicle had been hit by gunfire,” the release said. “Witnesses and surveillance footage indicated that a vehicle, possibly black or gray, was seen fleeing the scene shortly after the incident.”

Residents of nearby neighborhoods are being asked to look through security footage for any signs of a dark colored sedan. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the MLPD, 509-764-3887. The case number is 24ML13409.

At least one roundabout project is in its final phase, held over from fall 2025. The intersection of State Route 282 and Nat Washington Way will be closed the week of April 6 to allow crews to install permanent lights. “This really is the final (closure),” wrote Grant County Administrator Tom Gaines in a media release. “The roundabout will close at 6 a.m. Monday, and we plan to reopen by Friday, possibly sooner if the work finishes early.”
