Troy Curtis Schnell, 56, returned to his heavenly home on Sept. 14, 2024. He was born July 12, 1968, in Reno, Nevada, to Linda and William Schnell. He graduated from Bigfork High School in 1986, and the following year moved to Seattle, Washington, with Kimberly Cook, his high school sweetheart.
There he graduated from the Bailie School of Broadcasting in 1988.
In 1990, Troy married Kimberly, the love of his life. They lived in Seattle for 11 years before moving back to Bigfork.
Troy was an artistic soul with a passion for music. He was a member of many bands, starting with his high school band "Teal Blue" and most recent bands "Froggy Style" and "K’Niption Fit."
Troy contributed to his community with both his talent and time. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Bigfork Fire Department, and a phlebotomist for the Puget Sound Blood Center in Seattle and the Red Cross in Kalispell. In more recent years his jobs consisted of heavy equipment mechanic, construction, and maintenance work.
Troy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who cherished his family above all else.
Troy is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly Schnell; daughters, Brittany and Alyssa; granddaughters, Kendall and Reagan; his mother Linda Schnell; his father William "Bill" and stepmother, Jan Schnell; foster brother, Eron Read; and stepbrother, Ryan Krause.
The family invites you to celebrate Troy’s life at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, at Crossroads Christian Fellowship in Bigfork.
