Art shows are springing up at North Idaho College.

The North Idaho College Aspiring Artists Club show, "Fresh Perspectives," opens Monday and will be on display in Half Round Bay inside the Edminster Student Union Building on campus. "Fresh Perspectives" will run until May 8. The opening artist reception will be held at the same location from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday.

The annual student art show opens Tuesday and runs until May 8. The exhibit will be in the Corner Gallery of Boswell Hall.

Both of these shows have unique student art covering all mediums including sculpture, ceramics, oil painting, watercolor painting and photography. Both shows are open to the public during normal business hours at the college.

North Idaho College is at 1000 W. Garden Ave., Coeur d'Alene.
