The good news is hikers and bikers on the west side of Glacier National Park’s Going-to-the-Sun Road can now go as far as the Loop.

The bad news is the National Weather Service is calling for snow and rain this weekend, so the weather will be less than ideal. Saturday will start out sunny, but then there’s a chance of rain, with snow at night. Sunday will see a mix.

The road on the west side is open to vehicles as far as Lake McDonald Lodge. On the east side, it’s open to Rising Sun. The avalanche closure for hikers and bikers is currently at Rising Sun, though.

The Camas Road is now open to vehicles as is the Grist Road.

On the east side, the Two Medicine, Chief Mountain and Many Glacier Roads are plowed and open to hikers and bikers, though at Many Glacier people can only go as far as the T intersection due to construction.
