Full caption: The North Idaho Volleyball Club's U14-Piper team wrapped up play at the SCVA Red Rock Rave National Qualifier tournament held Saturday, April 19 through Monday, April 21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Competing against teams from all across the nation, the girls posted a record of 3-4, reaching the Silver bracket, and placed 31st amongst the 90-plus team field. "Overall, it was a great experience," head coach Piper Wahlin said. "We played defense and blocked like I've never seen before. Through the adversity and tough competition we found another part of our game that will help us finish strong through the remainder of our season." NIVBC U14-Piper and U16-Sara will travel to the ERVA Regionals Championships set to be held today through Saturday at various sites including The Podium in Spokane and The HUB Sports Center and Ridgeline High in Liberty Lake. From June 25 to June 28, U14-Piper will be headed to the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas, Texas for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship.
