See caption: Dalton Regehr, 12, of the Bonners Ferry Wrestling Club shows off his medals after a successful run at the USA Idaho State Championships held Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19 at Canyon Ridge High in Twin Falls. Regehr, competing primarily in the 100-pound weight class of the 14U division, went 4-0 in Greco-Roman, winning three matches by pin and one by technical fall, and 3-0 in Freestyle, winning all of those matches by technical fall, to capture gold medals in both styles. Adding in the gold medal he won at 90 pounds while representing the Sandpoint Legacy Wrestling Club at the Idaho Folkstyle State Championship held Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22 at Skyview High in Nampa, Regehr has officially captured the triple crown of Idaho State Championships. As if that wasn't impressive enough, Regehr, just a seventh-grader, actually doubled back in the 100-pound weight class of the 16U division in Greco-Roman and Freestyle and placed fourth and fifth, respectively, competing against wrestlers as old as sophomores in high school.
