A meeting of the Kootenai Valley Growers' Association will be held at the courthouse on Monday, May 4, at which time arrangements are to be made for the marketing of the spring and fall crops.
Fred Lipp of Copeland, who is serving his second term as County Commissioner, has recently perfected a non-skid auto tire chain which may be put on a tire under any condition without raising the car or the wheel. The new device will also automatically take up all slack in the chain caused by wear or by stretching.
The installation of showers, baths, and other conveniences at the tourist park was assured Monday night when the Kootenai Valley Commercial Club voted to pay up to $456 for the work.

Chuck Whittaker resigned this week as Chairman of the Airport Board.
School District 101 decided this week to stay with its original decision not to have kindergarten this year.
The Badgers won the Kellogg Invitational Track Meet with a total of 101 points.
Tracy Curtis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Curtis, will represent Bonners Ferry in the Miss National Teenager Pageant.

The Idaho National Guard, including local members, will deploy to Iraq in September.
The Smithsonian exhibit, "Journey Stories" debuts May 1.
Huseby wins first in BF's Got Talent adult division. Lauren Palmer earned first place in the Young People's category.
Jenny Liermann and Nancy McHone were tops in bowling.
The refuge will host Migratory Bird Day.
